Cartwheels
To buy or not to buy. That is the question.
Hamlet’s lament, translated to the shopper’s ode.
Inspired by the perfect cropped taupe blazer that Who What Wear showcased Hailey Bieber wearing, I’ve been on a week-long quest to find the jacket in question.
No luck, unfortunately. But with that piece in mind, here’s what’s found its way into my cart this week.
My new daily uniform—one I’ve relied on for years and recently returned to (leggings, be gone)—is a blazer, a tee, a great pair of jeans, and a flat or a kitten heel. (See Tuesday’s Uniform)
In that spirit, I’m on the hunt for the perfect Hailey-inspired blazer.
The contenders: ARMA’s Emy suede jacket, St. Agni’s tailored black blazer, and Max Mara’s Giacca Magia patch-pocket jacket—I think I’m in love.
I’m also on the hunt for the perfect pair of khaki jeans—the Still Here Sport Jean in pear still elusive. In their place: Citizens’ Brynn drawstring. I’ll admit they’ve been in my bag since last spring…
The quest for the perfect white tee continues. (See Rule of Three: The White Tee) While I’m loving the ones I own, RLT’s new cashmere blend tee is next on the list—thanks to Liv Perez. Her podcast, Let’s Get Dressed, is a constant source of inspiration—and, frankly, the reason I look forward to Mondays.
Reformation’s Inez heeled mule? Already on its way. I was on the fence about the flat, and then I saw the mule. Instant add to cart. I can’t wait to wear it with rag & bone’s Dre or a cropped jean—perfect for spring.
Rounding out the cart: Saint Laurent’s square sunglasses (a steal at just over $300), Toteme’s double-layer satin skirt (perfect for my youngest son’s high school graduation), Kallmeyer’s Parker Convertible Clutch—wouldn’t it be perfect with the ARMA Emy?—and a few new Victoria Beckham Beauty additions.
To buy or not to buy.
That is the question.
